What does a country club membership include? It includes a bundle of rights — golf access, practice, dining, events, lockers — not a cafeteria of every amenity the word “country club” suggests. Amenities are buildings and holes. A membership is which of those you may use, on which days, and with whom.
At Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro, New Jersey, the bundle is golf-and-clubhouse. It is not tennis, a swimming pool, pickleball, a fitness center, or a golf simulator. For a facility inventory, read country club amenities. This post is the membership-rights version: what Full, Weekday, Casual, and Swing Away include, as published on membership.
The membership bundle vs the amenity list
An amenity list answers “what exists on the property.” A membership answers “what is in your plan.” Two households can walk the same ~22,000-square-foot clubhouse and hold different rights: one with unlimited Tuesday–Sunday golf and VIP dining reservations, another with about 20 rounds and later weekend starts.
Bella Vista is a private club at 100 School Road East, Marlboro, NJ 07746, Monmouth County. Founded in 1995. Beshara family owned and operated. Phone 732-308-4600. Named 2026 plans: Swing Away, Casual Golfer, Full, Weekday, and Casual Golfer Introductory. Fees are not restated here. The live page currently shows conflicting Full and Weekday figures. Confirm with the club.
Golf rights: the core of most plans
First: access to the private 18. The course tour lists Par 70, 5,923 yards. Advance tee times required. Proper golf attire mandatory.
- Full includes unlimited golf and exclusive weekday and weekend early tee times Tuesday through Sunday.
- Weekday includes unlimited weekday golf, early times Tuesday through Friday, and six weekend rounds at prevailing green fees.
- Casual Golfer is a limited-round, pay-when-you-play plan for people who play up to about 20 rounds a year, with golf Tuesday–Sunday and later weekend starts (10:30 a.m. Friday–Sunday as published).
- Casual Golfer Introductory is listed as no dues, no food minimums, no commitments, pay only when you play, with up to 20 rounds of 18-hole golf at green-fee rates.
- Swing Away includes six rounds as part of a learn-to-play package, not unlimited golf.
Outings use outing package — not unlimited tournament golf in every plan.
Practice and instruction (with check-in)
The practice bundle is a driving range and putting / warm-up green. Members and guests must check in with the pro shop. Full and Weekday lists say unlimited range and putting green. Casual lists limited range and putting-green use. Swing Away lists driving-range use. Introductory copy lists range and warm-up green with check-in.
The homepage puts two PGA professionals in the shop. Lessons are listed for men, women, and young adults. Swing Away includes four half-hour lessons plus clubs and a bag. Practice: driving range in NJ. Not included: a golf simulator. Outdoor range is the winter practice story.
Lockers, bag service, and the start of the round
- Men’s and ladies’ locker facilities, showers, and dressing rooms
- Bag storage and shoe cleaning on golf-oriented plans; Swing Away lists bag storage
- Bag-drop greeting on Full and Weekday
- Club and shoe cleaning on Full, Weekday, Casual, and Introductory lists in various wording
- A club charge account on Full and Weekday
- A personalized bag tag on Swing Away and Introductory lists
Dining and events in the membership
Indoor and outdoor dining, a grill, private rooms, and a liquor license are published. Casual lists restaurant, lounge, and social events. Full and Weekday advertise VIP dining and event reservations. Introductory copy lists VIP restaurant and holiday reservations.
Some Full and Weekday blocks describe a restaurant minimum that applies to food, club events, and private parties. Casual / Introductory copy describes no food minimums. That is a membership-inclusion difference, not an amenity difference. Confirm on the membership page and by phone. No fees restated here.
Events in the bundle include tournaments, holidays, bocce, a men’s doubles league, and Fore Women Only / Sipp & Swing (events). Hosting: pavilion up to 300; Excelsior Room up to 250; Chef’s Table in the Crystal Room for 8–24 guests (seven days’ notice). Many events are also open to non-members. Details: catering information.
Who else is included
- Full and Weekday: optional dependent golf / club / restaurant privileges for spouse, significant other, and children under 21, same address required, verification required.
- Swing Away and Casual Golfer: juniors are named in the plan descriptions. No published standalone junior-only price list. See junior golf membership.
- Casual: guests are always welcome, per that plan’s copy.
- Full (later block): unescorted guests described as a courtesy to full members only (also repeated under a Weekday block). Confirm guest rules; do not invent frequency caps.
Social shoppers: Casual is the published dining-and-lifestyle path, not a separately priced zero-golf social SKU. Read social membership at a country club, then ask the club if you want almost no golf.
What a Bella Vista membership does not include
- No tennis courts
- No swimming pool
- No pickleball
- No fitness center
- No golf simulator
- No published product labeled “initiation” (Full and Weekday show an annual membership fee; that is not the same thing)
- No Monday golf, dining, or office hours — the club is closed Monday
If you need courts and water, this is the wrong club. See what is a country club and country club vs golf club.
